Organization Structure

The office of Manufacturing and Industrial Base Policy (MIBP) established by the 2011 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), has oversight responsibility for the ManTech Program. The Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Manufacturing and Industrial Base Policy (DASD(MIBP)) is responsible for ensuring that the linkage between "industrial policy" and "manufacturing" is firmly established and effectively coordinated. Information on MIBP and the other programs and initiatives it oversees can be found at MIBP Programs.

The Army, Navy, Air Force, Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) and the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) each have ManTech Programs. In addition, the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) has responsibility for the Defense-Wide Manufacturing Science & Technology (DMS&T) ManTech Program.

DMS&T was established to address cross-cutting, game-changing initiatives that are beyond the scope of any one Military Department or Defense Agency. DMS&T focuses on issues that affect all of the other services and agencies so that they can focus on their own service-specific ManTech issues.

The directors and senior managers of these programs coordinate through the auspices of the Joint Defense Manufacturing Technology Panel (JDMTP). The JDMTP is chartered to identify and integrate requirements, conduct joint program planning, and develop joint strategies. Department of Defense (DoD) oversight of the ManTech Programs is provided by the office of Manufacturing and Industrial Base Policy (MIBP).
